i) Admission to the degree course in this college is made exclusively on merit basis in consideration of the results of H.S. or equivalent (10+2) examination conducted by any Council /Board recognised by the University– as per university guidelines. For admission to Honours courses, Merit Point is to be calculated by adding 10% of the total marks obtained in the ‘Best five’ subjects excluding Environmental Studies and the marks obtained in the subject or related subject in which the admission to Honours course is sought. Merit Point for admission to General Course is to be calculated by adding the marks obtained in ‘Best five’ subjects only excluding Environmental Studies.
ii) In addition to Clause (i), any candidate seeking admission to Honours in Accounting & Finance Course must have obtained at least 45% marks in Mathematics in Madhyamik/ Equivalent Examination or must have passed in Mathematics in Higher Secondary /Equivalent Examination. However, this condition is not applicable for students passing the H.S. or Equivalent examination having at least two commerce papers, one of which must be either Business Economics including Business Mathematics or Accountancy or any other equivalent subject.
iii)A candidate passing H.S. examination under W.B.C.H.S.E. or any other equivalent examination in the years 2018,2019 ,2020is normally eligible to apply for admission to B.A 3 year General and 3 year Hons. Courses of studies.
iv) No Admission form in physical form is either available or acceptable and all applications are to be submitted on-line. Stipulated Application Fee is to be paid through ‘On-Line’ mode
v) Separate application form has to be filled in for seeking admission to each individual Honours subject.
vi) At the time of Verification of documents, a Print – out of the application submitted on-line earlier along with the receipt for payment of application fess must be submitted along with the self attested copies of the following documents.
For necessary verification of the aforesaid documents, all the relevant original copies are to be produced.
vii) Fees once accepted will not be refunded.
viii) All admissions are provisional.
ix)Admission is liable to be cancelled, if any mistake or suppression of facts is detected afterwards. In this regard the decision of the college authority will be final.
x) Discipline of the college is to be maintained strictly. On admission, each and every student has to abide by the rules and regulations imposed by the college authorities and the affiliating bodies from time to time.
xi)A candidate seeking admission to any Honours Course, must secure at least 45% marks in the aggregate (to be calculated by adding the marks obtained in ‘Best Five’ subjects excluding Environmental Studies) or 50% marks in the concerned subject or related subject in the last qualifying examination.
